# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • It cooks itself while you prep everything else, leaving you free to actually enjoy your guests.
  • The sweet apricot and tangy mustard create a glaze so good people will scrape the pot clean.
  • You can keep it warm for hours without worrying about anything drying out or burning.
  • Even picky eaters who claim they dont like sausages end up going back for thirds.
02 -
  • Resist the urge to cook on HIGH to save time because the sauce can break and turn grainy instead of glossy.
  • Stir halfway through or the sausages on top will stay pale while the bottom ones get all the flavor.
  • If your sauce looks too thick after an hour, add a splash of water or apple juice to loosen it up.
03 -
  • Make the sauce the night before and store it in the fridge so you can just dump and go on party day.
  • Use a slow cooker liner for the easiest cleanup you will ever experience after a party.
  • If you want a thicker glaze, uncover the crock pot for the last 30 minutes and let some of the liquid evaporate.
